  1. we have been learning about the phases of the moon and how it doesn’t change shape it just reflects the sunlight whilst orbiting the earth making the phases of the moon wich are:
    new moon
    crescent moon
    first-quarter moon
    gibbous moon
    full moon
    third quarter

  2. We think the moon changes shape but it doesn’t. It’s actually how or when the moon orbits around the earth. That’s how we get day and night. But in Australia when it’s morning here it will be night there that’s because the moon is not in the same place as it orbits around so when we have night here they have morning. The sun has a job of his own by giving us seasons!

  3. As the moon orbits around the earth we see different parts of it that is why it looks like it changes shape.

The Moon goes round the Earth every 27.3 days.

  4. In our class we have been learning about the sun,the earth and the moon.We have been trying to find out why the moon changes different shape. The Moon appears to change shape because we see different amounts of the lit part as the Moon orbits Earth. When the Moon is between Earth and the Sun, the lit side is hidden from us. As it moves around Earth, more and more of the lit side comes into view. Then it begins to disappear again.

  5. We see the moon change shape every day.It depends where the sun is reflecting and thats the part of the moon we can see.

  6. The moon changes shape in the dark but the moon never come at night but some of the people see it in there garden.

  7. The reason you think the moon changes shape is because as the moon orbits around the earth the sun, and shines on different parts of the moon. All the shapes of the moon are:

    new moon,
    waxing crescent,
    first quarter,
    waxing gibbous,
    full moon,
    waning gibbous,
    third quarter,
    waning crescent,
and last of all the new moon.

  8. The moon doesn’t actually change shape. It appears in different shapes because of the different levels of light. The different phases of the moon are:
    New moon
    Crescent moon
    First-quarter moon
    Gibbous moon
    Full moon
    Third quarter.
