Learning away at Castleton!

Learning away at Castleton!

Today we visited Castleton. We entered the Peak Cavern and explored the caves and surrounding areas, finding out lots of useful information about life inside the caves!

Can you remember how the caves were formed? What did working life used to be like inside the caves? Who visited them many years ago?

Take a look at our gallery of wonderful pictures from todays learning away!

Art & History day!

Art & History day!
Today we have been using our learning behaviours to do some cross-curricular learning.
This morning we wrote a description of a Viking character as part of art and history day! We applied all of the wonderful things we have learnt about the Vikings during our topic this half term. We then used our artistic skills to paint a picture of a Viking Raider. Take a look at some of your work below.
Which learning behaviours have you been using today? What kind of skills did you use?

Safer Internet Day!

Safer Internet Day!

On Tuesday it was safer internet day and we spent some time talking about e-safety and the dangers of meeting people online.

We discussed the case of Breck Bednar and also watched a short animated clip that taught us a lot about online safety.

What did you learn about being safe online? Why is it important?

We also decided to #shareaheart and write positive messages and reasons why we like the internet! Here are some of our ideas.
